of activities, mentoring and tutoring for an at-risk youth, helping

200 children, removed from unsafe,
abusive environments, received counseling and individualized
educational services at St. Mary's Home, providing the skills
necessary for a successful transition to adulthood.
46,000 students in Clarke, Mobile
and Washington Counties learned the attitudes and skills needed
to avoid drug use from the Drug Education Council.
358 pre-school and 93 school-aged children received affordable,
quality child care based on ability to pay at the Child Day Care Association.
480 adults in our community with
physical and/or mental disabilities were placed in jobs through
Goodwill Easter Seals of the Gulf Coast.
59 adults received job training
and 373 adults gained independence
by learning to read through Goodwill Easter Seals literacy program.
Bay Area Food Bank distributed over 4.25 million
pounds of food worth $8.2 million to fight hunger. 40 percent
of this food went to area children.
