Women's Initiative

They are our mothers, friends, wives and daughters. They’re women whose everyday choices make a significant and lasting impact on our community. They are the women who donate individual gifts of $1,000 or more annually. To acknowledge these female philanthropic leaders, the United Way created Women’s Initiative.

Created in 2002, United Way Women’s Initiative is made up of women who are committed to making a difference in our community. Together, they advocate, give and volunteer. Women’s Initiative continues to produce impressive results, and members are constantly empowering others to join the effort.

By recruiting and recognizing an increased number of women leadership givers each year, the Initiative can achieve its goal of reaching 1,000 women leaders. If you are ready to be inspired and to inspire others through positive changes, join United Way’s Women’s Initiative. Questions? Contact Ginny Holliman at 251-431-0107 or e-mail gholliman@uwswa.org.
